UOB Visa Signature review (2026)

Powerful but a bit leceh. Clear S$1,000 a month in taps or overseas spend and it purrs along at 4 mpd; miss the minimum and you get crumbs. A great second-step card once you know your spending pattern.
Great for
Use it for
on local contactless, petrol and SimplyGo
on overseas and foreign-currency spend
Watch out for
- Spend S$999 in a category and you earn 0.4 mpd on everything — the S$1,000 minimum is all or nothing.
- The sweet spot is narrow: S$1,000 minimum to S$1,200 cap, per category, per statement month.
- The 3.25% foreign-currency fee means you're effectively buying miles at ~1¢ each — worth it only if you redeem well.

How does the S$1,000 minimum spend work?
You must spend at least S$1,000 in a category (local contactless or foreign currency) within a statement month to earn any bonus at all. S$999 gets you 0.4 mpd on everything.
Does petrol share the contactless cap?
Yes — local contactless, petrol and SimplyGo share one S$1,200 sub-cap; overseas/FCY spend has its own separate S$1,200 sub-cap with its own minimum.
Does it earn miles on SimplyGo?
Yes — SimplyGo transit was added to the 4 mpd categories in Aug 2025, within the local contactless bucket (minimum spend still applies).
